Philippine + Irish Wedding
This was a unique and very loving couple who enjoyed traditions from
around the world.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place at the "Byodo In Temple". The service
was done in Japanese and English. The Sensei spoke of love and the meaning
of marriage. A light rain came upon us and the mountain behind the temple
was peaking from the low clouds. It was very romantic scenery.
The couple exchange two beautiful wedding leis. After the ceremony the
couple proceeded under a shower of rose petals to the "Bell"
where they rang it three times for good luck.
Budha
The couple adorned the Budha with incense and flowers. A small prayer
was additionally given by the Sensei (Japanese minister) asking the Budha
to bless the couple further and to give them long lasting happiness.
Transportation
All guests were taken by bus to the restaurant where they enjoyed cocktails
and pupus.
Reception
The couple were whisked away by stretch limousine and brought to the
reception they were welcomed and greeted by "Lion Dancers".
A family style Chinese food was served.
Cake
The cake was the dessert of course with pineapple and coconut flavors.
"Thank
you for your invaluable help planning our wedding. We could not have
done this without you. Your warmth and understanding toward our families
and your attention to every detail showed us how much you cared about
our wedding. Thanks for having me as one of your 'precious brides'."
